This Privacy Policy describes how h@me ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our household management mobile application and related services (collectively, the "App"). By using the App you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We do not use your household data for advertising targeting. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We share your information only in these limited circumstances:
The App displays advertisements served by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. AdMob may collect and use your device's Advertising ID and other identifiers to show you non-personalized ads. We have configured the App to request non-personalized ads only — no interest-based profiling is requested by our App.
Google may independently collect data in accordance with their own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time via your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID (Android).
When you use the bill-scanning feature, receipt images are sent to Google's Gemini API on our backend server. Images are used only to extract item and price data for your bill and are not stored by Google beyond their standard API processing terms.
We use Expo's push notification service to deliver alerts to your device. Your push token is stored on our server and sent to Expo solely to route notifications. Expo's privacy policy: expo.dev/privacy.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS). Passwords are hashed using Django's PBKDF2 algorithm and are never stored in plaintext. API access is protected with JWT tokens with short expiry times. While we take reasonable precautions, no internet transmission or storage system is 100% secure.

h@me is a household management application intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Our servers are operated from Pakistan. If you access the App from outside Pakistan, your information will be transferred to and processed in Pakistan. By using the App, you consent to this transfer. We take steps to ensure your data is treated securely in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you through a push notification or in-app message. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
